- June 19, 2002: Annotation of E. chaffeensis genome sequence based
on OUHSC 6-fold coverage nucleotide sequence is underway. Please come back later
to check out what's found on E. chaffeensis.
- February 1, 2002: We are currently collaborating with The
Institute for Genome Research (TIGR) to sequence and annotate the genomes
of Ehrlichia chaffeensis, Anaplasma phagocytophilum, and Neorickettsia
sennetsu.
Anticipated completion year: E. chaffeensis - 2002; A. phagocytophilum
- 2002; N. sennetsu - 2003.
Please check TIGR Microbial
Genome Database for most
recent project progress status and sequence
postings.
- September 18, 2002: TIGR has completed random sequencing of E. chaffeensis
and gap closure is under way (2 contigs; 1,171,865 bps total). Also, random sequencing
of A. phagocytophila and N. sennetsu is in progress.
Blast search using nucleotide sequences (more than
3-fold coverage) is available at local blast search server.
- June 19, 2002: Annotation of E. chaffeensis genome sequence based
on OUHSC 6-fold coverage nucleotide sequence is underway. Please come back later
to check out what's found on E. chaffeensis.
- June 26, 2001: We have collaborated with Dr.
David Dyer at University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, and Dr.
Robert Munson at Childrens Research Institute and The Ohio State University
College of Medicine and Public Health (or Microbial-Pathogenesis.org)
to sequence 1.2 Mb genome of Ehrlichia chaffeensis Arkansas strain up to
6-fold coverage (318 contigs, 1,089,864 bases).
