- 9/8/2003: I've been quite busy last few months: working on the dissertation, preparing for some manuscripts, and hunting then moving to a new house. Things are most settled now, and I will start updating news and new photos soon.

Spring is here finally and everything turns green magically within just few days. Eric is 22 months now and Richard is 8 months old. Richard got five teeth now, and more is coming out. He starts to develop separation anxiety recently. If we ignore him when passing along, he makes sound first and tears come up immediately. Of course, he is more playful by now. He can now sleep overnight without having a meal.

We've never pay such a close attention to the weather before we have babies. A nice weather does mean a lot for kids: they can play outside, enjoy the nature, and exploit the fascinating world. Spring is very nice in Columbus this year, and it's unlike other years which jumps from winter to summer directly. We got some nice photos in parks.
For our kids, richard can sit very well now. Although his leg is still too weak to support himself for a good stand, this does not affect much on his exploring of the living room and kitchen. ...Read more
- 3/11/2003: Photos of my family
in Febuary 2003.
Spring might be coming elsewhere, but Febuary does see the biggest snowstorm
(> 20 inches) this year in Columbus, and probably this is the biggest one
in several years. We were trapped inside buildings again, but we did take some
pictures outside with the snow. It would be so nice if we can migrate like birds.
Just for kid's
sake, we should move to southern states like Taxas.

Day from my son Richard (he is more than 6 month now!).

January is the coldest month in Columbus, and as you see, we can only play in
home. But this does not affect Richard's growth at all. He can sit for a while
alone, and his leg is strong enough to support himself so that he can exploit
the whole living room by his walker. Actually, he prefers the walker rather than
in people's arms. .....

It's winter now, so we can only stay mostly indoors like at home or
in shopping malls. But Eric and Richard keep growing. Although Eric is still
a little bit envy at his little brother, but they do play well together as you
can see below. Eric can hold and drink cups (not spill proof ones) well, and
if he
is at good mood, he can eat by himself with his little spoon. ....

photos and fall foliage at Darby Creek State Park (11/03/2002).
The peak foliage color in Mid-Ohio this year was around end of October, and it
faded soon after wind or rains. The long cold winter season then comes till next
April. The climate here is not pleasant at all, but southern states are too hot,
and Calif. is too expensive :)
- 11/26/2002: Tailgating after
Buckeye's greatest victory over Michigan.
(With this big
win over rival Michigan, Ohio State Buckeyes ended its football season with
a perfect 13-0 record and had earned a spot in the Fiesta Bowl for the national
championship. Sadly, some postgame celebrations turned into riots with
more than 100 street fires and overturned burning cars).

and submenus are activated or deactivated by mouseover or mouseout instead of
