- 5/5/02: Spring is here and it's warm outside. Eric wishes he can spend
all day playing outside. The result is his face and hands all got tanned, even
more darker than his daddy.
- 5/1/02: Eric can stand by himself very well by a little help. Also,
he can climb the stairs (more than 10 steps) several time per day, amazingly,
all by himself!
- 4/18/02: It's unseasonly warm in Columbus this week. Temperature reaches
mid 80's, and flowers are blooming everywhere. Eric is so happy to stay outside,
thus he is reluctant to return to home. He loves the swing so much that he will
yelling to it as soon as he sees it. He seems afraid to play on the grass alone
(perhaps it's cool on it).
- 4/1/02: Two teeth from his upper jaw came out too. They are big and
with little gap, definitely his father's gene. One tooth at his lower jaw also
came out, but only at the left side.
- 3/8/02: Eric is 9-month old now. He weights 19 lb 4 oz and 28
inches (71 cm) tall.
At this routine examination, they draws some blood from his finger. You
can imagine how bad he cries, and he is so strong that they need two nurses to
hold his arm.
The doctor said he is a happy guy since he always smiles (he is happy again
after the pain goes).
- 3/1/02: Eric can babbling in some words like "mama", "baba".
- 2/18/02: Eric can do several situps now if we hold his feet. Also,
he can run through the whole living room very fast in his walker. We are all amazed
by his speed.
- 2/3/02: Eric starts to sit in his highchair and eats with us (he prefers
foods from our chopsticks instead of babyfood from his spoon).
- 2/1/02: Two teeth from his lower jaw come out eventually.
- 1/1/02: Eric can eat half of banana. Also, he likes to sit in his walker
and strolls all over the living room and kitchen tirelessly. Apparently, he is
the most energetic guy in the family.
- 12/17/01: Eric is 17.5 lbs and 27.5 inches (70 cm) now.
- 12/10/01: Eric can hold cup and drink water by himself, although he
doesn't drink much water (of course, he will drop the cup to ground if he does
not like it later on).
- 11/21/01: Eric starts to eat Stage I baby food (like vegatible
and fruits), and he loves them very much (because they are sweet).
- 11/07/01: Eric still has difficulty to roll over while sleep on back.
Looks like he need more practice.
- 10/08/01: 14 lb 8 oz, 60 cm (23.5 inch). Eric can roll over easily,
and support his head with his arms for long time while placed on his tummy. He
also started to eat solid foods like egg yolk.
- 08/07/01: 10 lb 8 oz, 58.5 cm (23 inch).
- 07/30/01: 10 lbs even, 58 cm (22.5 inch). Eric can recognize peoples
who play with him more, whereas the doctor said this should happen after his age
of three months. Is he too smart?
- 07/12/01: 8 lb 8 oz, 54 cm (21 inch).
- 06/07/01: 5 lb 9.75 oz, 50 cm (20 inch). A small boy came to the world
with his curious eyes.
