- 1/3/03: We started to teach Eric numbers and all sorts of
things since he starts talking. He is so smart, that most things we only need
to teach him once and he can correctly pointed out next time.
- 11/12/02: Recently, Eric learned several more words
and recognize some numbers and alphabets. He can even said a near complete
sentence
yesterday
("Bu Yao Dou Dou" - Don't want to eat the pea)! Very interestingly,
he learns to add a "De (
)"
after family members in Chinese, like "Ba Ba de", "Ma Ma De",
"Di Di De".
- 10/15: Eric runs very well now and he always challenges
himself by climbing all sorts of dangerous stuffs. For him, stairs are the
lowest challenging
thing now, so him tries sofa, chairs and then tables, whatever possible he can
reach and hold his small hands on. You can imagine that he always got some
scratches and bruises.
- 10/1: Eric grows up a lot these days. He can correctly pronounce
several words now, like all family members, trees, birds, ducks, cars, etc. Actually,
he understands more than he can speak. He understands almost most things we talk
to him, like put things to trash can, give us a smile, hug his little brothers,
and lots more. Of course, he will not follow all of things you asked him to do.
And, he is so cute and always smiling.
- 8/5: Eric's little brother Richard was born on last Sunday.
Since we don't stay with him for almost two days, he becomes really envy at his
little brother. Every time when I try to hold his brother, Eric will jump on me
and pull my legs. He just want to get attention too! But he is much better now,
and even kiss his little brother.
- 7/25: We don't put diaper on these days, and Eric has been
trained very well. He knows to tell us when he wants to go for a pee at most times
(of course he will miss some when he is too much preoccupied with his toys, and
he will also give us some false signals).
- 7/18: Eric can walk all by himself now. Initially, his walking
really looks dangerous, and walks with a waddle (just like a duck, you can imagine
it). But now, he improves a lot and can walk a very long distance.
- 7/1: Eric grows up a lot recently. He can not only walks for several
steps by himself (he walks pretty well with support), but also can understand
many words we talk to him, like plane, car, train, fan, fish, water, tree, leaf,
grass, flower, and many more. He always points to something and ask for what it
is with his "Oh, Oh", and sometimes his endless "Oh, Oh" sounds
are really annoying. He can speak several words too, although many words all sound
alike.
- 6/30: We went to Washington, DC and Niagara Falls recently.
At first, we really worry about if he can sit in the car for such a long time,
but it turns out to be a pretty nice trip. He did not feel too much upset, also
he felt asleep a lot in the car. After that, he likes to sit in the car very much,
sometimes he even don't want to get out of it!
- 6/7/02: Happy Birthday to Eric! He is one year old today. He
has eight teeth now and started eat many foods with us now. Interestingly, he
still loves formula best although he eats many tasty foods already.
