This winter seems pretty cold. We're almost frozen while waiting in the line for the Black Friday sale. Our heating bill almost doubled amid the record-high natural gas price. We got the first "bigger" snow storm here last Friday. Not really big though, only around 8 inches of snow. Today, it's snowing again with freezing rain, the worst weather in winter.
Nevertheless, boys enjoy playing in the snow, running their favorite Thomas trains on it. Eric likes sliding on the snow sled down the hill close to our home. Rick seems still too young to enjoy the speed of snow sleding, but he said that he will like it when he is as big as his elder brother. Actually, he said this already last year :)
Happy Holidays!

It could be the last few weeks with warm weather, so we enjoyed the fall foliage in Dublin Park. Unfortunately, most leaves fell off already before they turned into rainbow colors. Nevertheless, Eric and Rick enjoyed the water and playground in the park.

If you like fresh fruits or vegitables, Columbus is a nice place to stay. We can pick up lots of veggies and fruits from local farms. When we did not plant in the garden by ourselves years ago, we used to pick fresh veggies, like cucumbers, zucchini, and peppers. Earlier summer, there are
strawberries, peaches (
this is the farm), and in fall, there are
varieties of apples - from golden delicious, red delicious, suncrisp, melrose, and fuji. My sons like melrose and suncrisp, but we all like fuji apples the most. Usually we picked quite a lot and store them for few months in the garage or the basement.

Fall is coming. It's getting cold here in October and the Daylight saving time will be ended by 10/30/05. The weather is very nice this month, so we enjoy the sunshine as much as possible before the weather turns too cold to stay outside. Some leaves start to fall off the tree but most leaves do not change color yet. We might have to wait few more weeks to see the colorful fall foliage. Hope the coming rain will not ruin the foliage.
Here is the link to our October 2005 Albums: • Biking/Hiking at Highbank Park - our favorite park. It has almost everything necessary for a park: playground, BBQ grills, a river, hills, and miles of natural trails. Tang's parents even got lost in the trail one time. My sons love to play around the river. They like to do pretended fishing using sticks, and throw rocks into the water. Splashes are usually best things for kids.

Boston is a very nice and tourist-friendly place: it's an old city, but it's clean and well maintained, unlike many other big cities. Not to mention the prestigious institutions here: Harvard, MIT, Tufts, you name it. It would be much nicer if its winter is not so long and cold and snowy.
I like the
Go Boston Card, which packaged with several Boston's best attractions, like Duck Tours, Harbor Cruise, Beantown Trolley Tours, New England Aquarium, Museums, Zoos, and more. Unfortunately, we missed the Whale Watch season (closed in October), and we cannot finished all of them in one day!
